A Unique Fishing Experience

Kings Bay, fed by constant 72-degree fresh spring water and inland tributaries, provides the ideal conditions for world class fresh and saltwater fishing. The surrounding area is home to resident snook, redfish and tarpon that are refreshed with migrating fish. Just seven miles from Crystal River is the Gulf of Mexico and its uncountable islands and channels with miles of shoreline and mangroves for the best snook, redfish and seatrout inshore fishing imaginable. Other saltwater species popular in the area are grouper, cobia, barracuda, jack crevalle and amberjack.

The fishing boat pilots are Coast Guard six-pack licensed and excellent, experienced fishing guides knowing how to put you on the fish for an exceptional outing. Tackle is top notch - Abu Garcia/PENN, Berkley and St. Croix - in excellent operating conditions. Baits will be artificial and/or live (price of live bait not included). Most angling will be considered inshore in shallow waters, the best place-to-be to catch more fish.

Pete’s Pier, 1 SW 1st Place, Crystal River, FL, is the home of Anglers Inn On the Water and luxury Floating Suites. With the ability to comfortably sleep 8 people onboard, it is the perfect size for a family getaway, multi-family vacation or secluded couple’s retreat. Local attractions available are fishing charter boats, manatee tours including swimming with the manatees, scallop trips, dolphin tours, sunset cruises, kayak and paddle board rental and island excursions.

World Class Fishing

icon

Largemouth bass

These bass might be caught alongside a snook so one never knows what might bite. Bass are found throughout the Kings Bay area, especially up the river channels like the Salt River network of channels and islands.

icon

Tarpon

Crystal River tarpon, aka silver kings, can measure up to 7-feet long and weigh in excess of 200 pounds. The area has a year-round population which grows in May with the annual incoming spawn migration.

icon

Snook

A year-round resident of the area, Crystal River snook love to ambush your lure from hidden mangrove roots or in a cut.  Look to June through October for peak snook fishing.

icon

Redfish

Look for sandy pockets in grass beds, oyster bars and troughs for key redfish inshore fishing. Sight fishing is a popular technique. Redfish are perhaps the most favored game fish around Crystal River.

icon

Grouper

The biggest factor that makes Crystal River an excellent shallow-water grouper fishery is its ecology. This part of the Nature Coast is home to underwater rock piles that line the bottom just outside of the shallow flats.

icon

Seatrout

They may not be the biggest fish in Crystal River, but the seatrout, aka spotted and speckled trout, are voracious eaters and call the area home year-round. They make for excellent table fare.

Come for the fishing, stay for the rest

At Anglers Inn you will experience the world's best in bass fishing and quality of service.
