Anglers Inn Floating Suites Hosts Angie Thompson, Fishing Tackle Retailer, family and friends to scallop hunt and celebrate birthdays
Angie Thompson, new owner of the popular industry magazine Fishing Tackle Retailer, spent a few days in the Crystal River, Florida, area with family and friends. The group enjoyed many of the attractions of the area and stayed a few nights on Billy Chapman’s Anglers Inn Floating Suite docked at Pete’s Pier.
“Our entire group was blown away by the hospitality that was so graciously extended by Anglers Inn International team,” remarked Angie. “Everyone we worked with was beyond professional and attentive to every we need we expressed. And some we didn’t even have to express!
“It’s clear there are real travel pros working behind the scenes here because everything is so well thought out and experience is truly a bespoke travel experience designed for the kind of people who love the outdoors, love the sea and the creatures in it, love fishing and love adventure.”
Among the highlights of their trip was scallop hunting with Homosassa guide Captain “Red Ed” Brennen. Donning snorkel gear, the scallop hunters took to the waters to collect the bi-valves. The most adventurous of the scallopers was 4-year-old Molly who was undeterred of swimming in the ocean. The group also spent a day on the Kings Bay beach enjoying the sun and lunch.
That evening the party moved to the upper deck of the Floating Suite to celebrate some birthdays and were entertained by Ricky Zen and his “Rick N’ Roll” show. The live show was enjoyed by the group on the boat as well as King’s Bay boaters and kayakers passing by the houseboat. There was plenty of barbecue on the menu and combined with the live entertainment the evening was filled with fun and karaoke.
The Thompson group spent the remainder of their stay relaxing on the luxurious Floating Suite, swimming with manatees and visiting different attractions in Crystal Bay, Homosassa and Kings Bay.
