It may be hard, unless you were a pirate patrolling the Gulf 400 years ago or a Spanish explorer, to identify a manatee with anything romantic. But the home of the manatee, Florida’s Crystal River and Kings Bay, creates a very romantic setting for anniversaries and weddings. Billy Chapman’s Anglers Inn Floating Suites docked at Pete’s Pier is the ideal setting and was selected by Patrick and Kari Moore to celebrate part of their 20^th anniversary celebration while in Florida.

The Moore’s were accompanied by sons Austin, aged 16, and Easton aged 6. Also on the trip were Kari’s parents Bob and Debbie Engle.  

“Our trip to Crystal River and staying in Billy Chapman’s Anglers Inn Floating Suites was the highlight of our trip,” said Moore. “We visited a nature preserve, spent time on the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the area. Living on the houseboat was wonderful. The Anniversary Package was perfect.”

While lodging in the Floating Suite guests can enjoy a wide range of activities including manatee tours and swimming with the manatees, kayaking around Kings Bay, chartered fishing outings for exciting inshore and offshore angling, bass fishing, airboat rides, nature tours, beach picnics and hand feeding the huge tarpon at Pete’s Pier.
