I have fished with Billy and Anglers Inn for over 30 years. My first trip to El Salto was in 1990. I have fished El Salto, Lake Picachos many times, always at Anglers Inn because of the outstanding service and guides. I have also made three trips to the Amazon with Anglers Inn, an amazing adventure and unbelievable fishing for huge peacock bass and wolf fish. This year we were aboard Billy’s Floating Suites at Crystal River, Florida. All I can say is wow
What makes this trip different? First, I was joined by my wife, son, daughter in-law and two grandchildren. I could never get my wife to join me in Mexico or in the Amazon, but she was all in for Crystal River. We got the grandkids out fishing, on the kayaks and swim with the manatees in the most beautiful crystal-clear water I have ever seen. Second, the floating suite was amazing and there was more than enough room for all of us. Anglers Inn took care of us in the usual excellence we came to expect in Mexico and the Amazon. Enjoying a great dinner and drinks on the water in the evening then a cup of coffee in the morning is the way to go. We had a manatee cow and calf swim right next to the boat. You can see mullet being chased by snook and watch huge tarpon feed while you are getting your fish cleaned. Truly a unique experience. Finally, for me, was catching my first redfish. I have been a lifelong bass fisherman, and I always wanted to catch redfish. We caught redfish, snook and trout on beautiful calm inshore water that could be enjoyed by my entire family.

My son and I spent several days fishing all over the state of Florida. The highlight of the trip were the days spent at Pete’s pier, staying in an Anglers Inn houseboat in the middle of all the action. We actually caught everything from speckled trout to snook to largemouth bass. It was a great trip! Highly recommend!

Already booked next trip only 3 weeks from just returning from there. This was my first trip there and it was by far the best bass fishing trip I have ever taken, and I have fished all over the United States in all types of bass fishing tournaments and recreational trips. I have never caught so many Lunker bass in such a short time in my young life of 62 years. No matter your age, you’re never too old or too young to enjoy this experience. I will be booking yearly and hopefully will convince my friends to follow suit. The entire process from booking with Anna, transportation and the Lake Staff and Guides are top notch and cannot be matched.

We enjoyed our recent stay with several friends on one of your Floating Suites. The accommodations were wonderful and provided all the comforts of home but with an added bonus of wonderful views of the Crystal River, occasional sightings of manatees and dolphins and vivid sunsets. We had a wonderful time touring the area, eating in several of the local restaurants and a day trip to Cedar Key. Billy was the consummate host and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. On our first night, we were privately entertained by Rick who kept us singing and dancing to oldies and nostalgic tunes. All in all, it was a fun filled time with friends on a beautiful houseboat. We thank Billy for making it a success!

What an amazing place Angler's Inn is...we spent another 4.5 days on the water. Josh and I estimated we caught nearly 600 fish. We caught over 100 6+ pounders and our 5 best per day averaged just under 40 pounds with one day just a little over 40 pounds. Our biggest was just a little over 9 pounds....just another amazing trip.

This was my 3rd trip and look forward to coming back again this winter! Marteen our guide was fantastic and the most personable guide we have had so far! While all your guides are good some of them take a little longer to warm up to you. He had some very nice compliments and excellent knowledge of the lake. While I don't need much attention when fishing, he was on top of every need my wife had and made sure she had as good as time as I did. Hat's off to the great service from the guides and the staff at the lodge as they are what put the icing on the cake!

We had a great mini summer vacation there in Crystal River and Anglers Inn is THE destination! We were able to bicycle or walk to various restaurants and attractions and Pete’s Pier was full of guides to use for our scalloping adventure. I have traveled all over and to have everything right there in Kings Bay is a huge bonus! We even enjoyed a couple short day trips by car to Homosassa Springs and Ozello. It was our first time scalloping, and we had a blast and cannot wait to come back! You truly have something for everyone! And even though it wasn’t the prime time of year we were able to enjoy one of the gentle giants there, a local manatee. Besides the chance to swim in the clear waters of the beautiful bay, Crystal River offers great fishing and plenty of things to do on land. Explore the lakes and rivers, reel in Florida’s best fishing, taste fish-to-fork cuisine, play golf, take a hike, dive for scallops, cycle on one of America’s top-rated trails, and then come back to enjoy it all at your oasis on the water! Can’t wait to get back. This was one of the greatest father/son trips we have ever had. We caught 80 fish ranging from 3 to 6 pounds at El Salto. My biggest was 6.45 lbs. and Cameron caught his personal best at Lake El Salto, 5.32 lbs. This made his trip. Lake Picachos was nothing but nonstop fishing. In 2 1/2 days we caught 485 fish, ranging from 2 to 5 pounds and that was just the ones we touched. We probably had another 150 come off at the boat. Most of our fish were caught on top water and Senkos. We went through 250 Senkos. The guides Loreto at El Salto and Julian at Picachos were amazing and the customer service and food was over the top.
